Finally had a chance to go through the rest of my Galleys Guns and Glory! Battle of Lepanto pictures From Pacificon game convention. Here are a few in no particular order.

I'm not enamored with the 'pocker chip' counters on the decks (crew?) but everything else looks fantastic. Was thinking about getting into ancient galley warfare, now wondering if I'll turn the clock forward a few hundred years instead… |

Beautiful ships. I could never paint anything so intricate. |

You could easily use 6, 10, or even 15mm crew figures instead (which is what I do with my own 15mm Renaissance galleys) |

Macross- the ship models are 1/300th scale, ideal for 6mm. some of my customers are painting up 6mm crews for their ships. here are a couple of example shots
I just purchased a bunch of 6's from Scale creep miniatures and am working on some Turkish and Maltese crews. Ragbones- honestly the paint jobs on these are pretty easy, with the average ship using4-7 colors. As I make them from quality 3mm birch plywood they take paint and color easier than MDF, and are much sturdier. What makes it look all fancy is the paper trim bulwarks, flags and awnings, which come with each ship model. I'm working on a step by step tutorial that I'll have up on my blog soon.
