The latest round of "He-month" is now coming to a close and I've completed three more figures for my "Masters of the Universe" collection, The Sorceress, Man-at-arms, and Orko..

But is that a good thing?

I admit it in a whisper, but I've always had a soft spot for He-Man and Eternia. It isn't particularly "adult" (though since I game with toy soldiers, perhaps such things shouldn't bother me), but it all brings back such good memories of my youth in the early 80s. He-Man might be one of the cleanest cut of all popular heroes--like Conan had become an Eagle Scout--and while he might not have been the brightest of fellows, his decency and concern for underdog actually had a big influence on me as a kid. And who couldn't like Skeletor and his wicked minions? They managed to combine relentless evil with a staggering degree of incompetence in a way that made them vastly appealing to a generation of boys (and I was one of them)that hadn't yet discovered cars and girls. But enough of the reminiscing.

They all look absolutely amazing, Roger. So good, in fact, I'm not sure I can pick my favourite! Do you plan to game with them? If you do, be sure to post some pictures! Many thanks for sharing.

Many thanks Daryl, I too have a soft spot for He-man (obviously), and though the cartoon was essential viewing, the toy line past me by almost completely (I was still buying Star Wars figs at the time).

Do I plan to game with them? I always plan to game with the figures I paint it just never seems to happen these days, there's still quite a few more figures I plan to add to the collection, plus I have now downloaded a number of pictures of a certain skull faced castle though whether anything will come of this I really don't know.

Cheers Roger.

I just want to shove Orko down that broomstick he's sitting atop.

There are a few people on this page I'd like to do the same too, Ravenscraft.
