In full disclosure I am one of the main members of the team working on the Army Token project. You can check it out here: kck.st/1Mmkqee Basically, we design and make army "tokens" for multiple genres that you can get for very little money. We're not trying to replace miniatures, rather, we are trying to provide entry level vehicles and soldiers to people that want to wargame but need more time to get their army table ready. We'd love to hear what you think about the project.

Even though I have a pretty good collection of micro-scale stuff, I'd be interested. I have a couple of suggestions. Even though you are not replacing minis, the closer you get the better. I think all of the graphics should be the same scale, and the vehicle "paint" jobs consistent. So, when they are deployed on the table, the "look" like minis, all of the same scale and vehicle coloring. Also, I think if you are going to include unit ID info, or a place to put it, I would rather see it behind the vehicles and infantry units. since my army will be deployed in front of me, pointing toward my opponent, the information will be at the bottom of the token, facing me, so I can read it. In other words, in the infantry token in your pic, you would rotate the three riflemen 180 degrees to face up. I like your idea, and I think many mini users will too. the tokens are easily transported and stored, and look great. And think of all the time saved not having to paint. Best of luck. |

I don't really understand how that "Kick-Start" thing works. But the tokens have some interesting possibilities. Will you create buildings and other terrain too? |

Interesting but modern stuff is not at all my thing. WW2 or ACW might tempt me. |

I think the perspective is a bit off. I like the top down perspective best. |
