Miniature Wargames (October) issue 390 hits the shelves today. It includes a submission I made using Pendraken 10mm Sci-fi figures and Kallistra hexes (though squares or open boards could be used).

the article has a background, 3 linked scenarios and a set of rules.

Aliens have landed in tghe UK and a specialst force is sent to deal – can they 'contain' the aggresive alien warrior in the town?

My subscription copy hasn't arrived yet (shakes fists at the sky and cries aloud "why, oh ye gods of gaming, why do ye taunt me in this way? Surely as a subscriber I should get first dibs on the new copies? Why do you play with me like some hapless soul adrift on the turbulent seas of fate ?").

But…fits on a large pinboard….so if I converted to 6mm (size matters!) or even 2mm it'd fit on a small pinboard…

I have been looking for just such small scale games as I have a nagging desire to set up some (for want of a better word) microgames.

Congratulations and well done.

Thank you. My Kallistra tiles are 4" (100mm) across, so all my units of movement and fire ranges are based around a 4" measure and that fits a large pinboard, so any reduction on that ratio should get you into an even smaller space.

Hopefully it'll arrive tomorrow !

Steve Jones has done another of his multiple period scenarios …. always my favourite part of the mag. he is including a WWII version in 15mm on a 3 x 2 foot table, right up your street I think :-)
