I guess the title kind of says it all, in regards to my question. I happened to be able to get a fair amount of Old Glory Celts (all the foot sets and the mounted) as well as the Gaul Command. The Celt foot figures all have separate weapons and hands – both spears as well as swords (but all seem to sculpted with no swords in the scabbards).

The Gaul Command figures have their weapons sculpted in their hands. The Gauls also seem a little more refined with what seems to be better proportion for the upper pant leg and more expressive faces.

I am guessing the Gauls were sculpted later but I do not know for sure.

I do like the figures and they have helped re-inspire me to work on my Celtic army of Wargames Factory and Warlord figures I previously got (sadly, as I am sure everyone on here knows all too well, there are only so many hours in the day and with interests in ancients, medieval and WWII as well as sci fi, these hours become even less …)

Oops – maybe this is in the wrong section …. (I'm rather new to TMP)

Old Glory uses different sculptors as I understand it, so the differences you see might not be the mark of developing talent of a particular sculptor, but rather the differences between two entirely different artists.

And yes…not enough time in the day.

Maybe Russ Dunaway will chime in to answer your question.
