This game is the fifth scenario of Britton Publishers' latest project, Fulda Gap. At this point in the campaign, sarin gas has been deployed. This causes both sides to use protective gear, which hampers communications and movement.

This scenario pits two equally matched recon platoons against one another near an industrial park northeast of Frankfurt. I hope you enjoy it. Ben

Ben,

Absolutely fantastic! I am so jealous of your table man, I love the look. The game looks like it went pretty quick. Looks like the random entry really throws some stuff in the game to keep you off balance.

I'll see soon ;)

Thanks for posting this.

Jack,
The game was played in about 2-hours. Once NATO lost the platoon HQ, no other squads could enter the game. So, it was effectively over. Roger had trouble making contact with his wayward squads, and out of desperation, attacked with his platoon HQ's Bradley. Patience might have won the day for him. But, it was great fun to play a small game for a change. I will be anxious to see how your game turns out. Ben

Ben,

Sounds cool, and I can empathize with your buddy regarding pushing too far too fast ;)

I only got one game in this weekend (scenario 4), but it was absolutely amazing! I think you're gonna like it, twisted hulks of burning metal everywhere. I suppose I'll end up putting it out in two parts again.

And I'm desperately trying to figure out how to 1) get scenario 5 in during the week, or 2) how to get stuff prepped so there's no way I don't get two games in next weekend.

I'm still tossing the idea around of doing scenario 5 in 10mm with M-113s vs BTRs. If I do that, I can set up my 3' x 3' for scenario 5 and my 5' x 4' for scenario 6.

That just may work, but the opposing forces are going to be super close on 3' x 3'. We'll see.

V/R,
Jack
