Are all lists and rules published with-in allowed in Mordheim games? |
Doctor X | 15 Sep 2015 2:41 p.m. PST |
That depends on your group. Unofficial warbands like the Shadow Dancers can be completely unbalanced. Some of the optional rules don't even seem like they've been playtested. But if your group wants to use them then I guess you can, right? |

Sure, why not? As long as you're OK with everyone else also using rules from TC or WD. |

Well, since the game is no longer supported by GW nothing is official anymore. If your looking for all the official and unofficial rules compiled into a single rule book check this out: link PDF link 322 pages total, very well put together with all the original rules, errata, corrections, Town Cryer, Forge World stuff done by GW people that never was "official" by GW. All compiled into one mighty tome. I have conversed recently with original author Tuomas Pirinen too and he is planning on doing an updated version of the game (though not called "Morheim" or using GW IP) and plans on putting his version out to the public as a homage to the original with concepts that he feel's needed improved on from his original work.
Probably the best GW product ever produced and still has interest long after they dropped it. Kim |

I don't know why GW continues to this day to be completely idiotic with their decisions. They are making Mordheim for Steam and yet don't want to sell figures that would help support it. So stupid. They could easily do a Kickstarter to gauge interest and probably make a nice little profit with almost zero risk. |

Sorry, that would be much too easy. |

According to the web, GW now has a special games division and will be rereleasing and supporting all of their old games… Necromunda, Mordheim, Bloodbowl, etc…. |

I will believe that when I see it. Yes, I saw their announcement, but……. |

I am going to toy with the Nuln gunnery school…. My Empire army was a Nuln one….. There are others.. like the Kislvites….. I have that war band in a box, unopened…. bear and all…. I rather like them since they have both good firepower AND the ability to melee…. |
Stepman3 | 17 Nov 2015 3:53 p.m. PST |
I can do Kislev as well…My whole Empire army is Kislev…lots of conversions… |

Maybe I'll toy around with an Undead Warband, just for fun. |
Poniatowski | 19 Nov 2015 5:28 a.m. PST |
Sigh… well I will most definitely NOT be playing rats against undead….. One quick question.. from Fall-In! were we playing the standard wyrdstone hunt? I had xp from taking folks out of action (4) for winning warband leader (1) and then we didn't assign for surviving…. each hero or group gets 1xp for surviving. If that is the case, I have one other roll to make for a potential upgrade on a hero. |
Stepman3 | 19 Nov 2015 1:08 p.m. PST |
Why not Rats against Undead? |
snurl1 | 20 Nov 2015 12:45 a.m. PST |
No, it wasn't a standard scenario because it was a multi (more than two) player game. However, your hero should have gotten an experience point for hauling that chunk of Wyrdstone off the board. |
Poniatowski | 23 Nov 2015 12:35 p.m. PST |
Too much of the undead causes fear…. my rats would run like no tomorrow…. that is why I avoided your little undead skirmish on that side of the board…. I would rather face guns than fear…. my leader only has a LD of 7 and then it drops drastically to 4's and 5's… NO…. the Skaven would break and run from the undead. Humans typically have a LD of 9 for their Captain and then 8's and 7's…….. My undead would NEVER melee anything undead…. I would be forced to fight a retreating battle where I moved away and fired slings…. OK, then for xp….. all I got was +1xp for each out of action assigned to whichever hero or henchman group took them out. Leader got +1 for being the winning leader and then one to my hero who got the shard off…. Having only taken 4 others out of action, it divided up as follows…. Assassin: +2 (took 2 out of action) +1 (winning leader) total +3xp Henchman group: +2 (took 2 out of action) We rolled for this group and they got +1 attack total +2xp Black Skaven: +1 (took shard off board) Is that it then? |

I have been doing a lot of research into other bands…. It looks like I will have a back up human warband of some kind…. most likely Reiklanders…… I am very intrigued by the Nuln gunners though!!!! I really like the black powder rules. |
Stepman3 | 23 Nov 2015 6:58 p.m. PST |
I'll post pics of my Nuln Warband this week… |
snurl1 | 23 Nov 2015 11:28 p.m. PST |
Dan- That looks correct. I don't think I'm done with Nuln yet either. Black powder is fun. |
