most impressive – most important for me the expression of the whole figure – catching very much the feel of the period

I know people praise the Perry twins, but Francesco must rank up near the top of the pile these days. I am so glad he works in 1/72, but I wonder what teh plaudits would be if he was doing 28mm.

And vW – totally agree. These are the most useless figures I can imagine for me and my wargames armies, but I will sure as heck find a place for them, just for teh joy of painting them. Absolutely brilliant to see this as a range, and to see them done so well.

That is the snag for anyone trying to do this commercially. They are truly wonderful. In a proper scale (28mm obviously) I would buy them. But. let's be honest, only one of each……..and many a wargamer wants hordes of plastic folk to recreate hordes of real folk marching up a wet, muddy, slope south of Brussels.

Thank God for the guys who will produce such figures. Huge respect for Perrys (massive actually). But let's support those who make the highest quality and/or minority interest subjects…..Westfalia, Gringos, Oniria etc
