"At DSEI 2015, Singapore Technologies Kinetics (ST Kinetics), the land systems division of ST Engineering, is disclosing a new family of advanced 30-tonne wheeled armoured platforms: the Terrex 2. The Terrex 2 is a cutting-edge 8x8 wheeled armoured vehicle with superior mobility, protection and network centricity that enhances the capabilities of global armed forces to fight as a mobile, networked force.

Terrex 2 has superior mobility, is nimble in littoral operations, manoeuvrable in challenging terrain and agile in urban operations. The vehicle is actually performing sea trials, and its particular hydrodynamic hull design could allow him to achieve swimming speeds of up to 11 km/h in high water conditions.


The Terrex's class-leading design allows it to be equally lethal and highly survivable in both land and littoral missions. This brand new armoured vehicle features a unique first-in-class V-Over-V design allowing strong protection against mine and IED blasts. This design comprises two V-shaped hull sections: a lower section mounted over the drivetrain and suspension system, and a upper one which protects crew and troop compartments…"
