The Dulles Wargaming Club (along with Just-Jack) is play-testing Britton Publishers' latest project, Fulda Gap. Rear Guard is the fourth scenario, in which NATO must slow the WarPac advance, while the balance of 11th ACR seeks a more defensible position. This one also heralds the arrival of the 5th Panzer Division. We are using a mixed bag of minis until my new GHQ minis are ready for action.

Beautiful terrain, miniatures, and buildings.

I do find the chits a bit disturbing though, to an otherwise very scenic battle.

Perhaps at least coloring them green or brown might help a bit.

My personal preference would be to ditch as many of them as possible, altogether, but using an off-board unit status sheet, or some sort of magnetic board, or flipchart to avoid spoiling the scenic battle.

Given the small numbers of forces, I think that would be possible, and greatly enhance the overall effect of the game.

Ben,

No way!!! The Soviets pulled off the win!? Wow, that's a pretty wild fight, and those T-90s look fierce.

Jack…yeah…it was nip and tuck the whole time. How are things on your battlefield?

Ben,

I haven't torn down/set up yet, but I'm close, probably Friday evening. I may be being too optimistic again, but I really think I can get 4 and 5 in this weekend.

I took a look at 5, pretty cool with the random entry, but I've got some questions that I'll e-mail you about later.

Still working on the batrep for fight #3; I posted the first part last night.

V/R,
Jack
