Today, we did a Viking skirmish, and I got to get my new Wargames Factory Vikings out for an airing!

The write up is on my blog at: link

I agree, great stuff. I think you mention these are your own rules you're using? I also noticed what seemed like pretty detailed damage rules/ single and identified wound locations. Does this level of detail make games a lot longer? I just started playing Saga recently and am enjoying it a lot…but considering its skirmish I think at times it might be an option to have a little more detail. I thought campaign games having a modified dice roll to determine the severity on casualties

I love the Ragnar model (just started watching that series recently too.) What make is it?

Thanks for posting

Hi War Panda! – the Ragnar is available from this link -Stronghold Miniatures
Lagatha is from Bad Squido Games at this site: thedicebaglady.net/historical

The rules are quick play, they only allow differential wounds between Light Wound, Wound, Disabled and Killed.
These are often combined with push backs in melee.

Have a look, I think it works quite well.

The only rules I have with detailed hit locations are my Wild West rules!

Herkybird I like the sound of the rules I'll be sure to take a close look at them and try them out.

Thanks for the Link too :)
