Hi all

I've got a couple of updates on my 6mm Wargaming website

A Dirtside 2 scifii game report we played at my local AWC club earlier in the year. It was a good game with my Brigade models Pacfed force getting smashed by Richards GZG forces. It was great fun although the results didn't go my way. You can see more on the terrain and figures on the Scifi section of my site. The article is here 6mm.wargaming.info/page105.shtml

And the other update is a gallery of some modern Vietnam terrain that was a commission for someone. The commission was quite open and I tried to create some typical looking Vietnam terrain. The gallery is 6mm.wargaming.info/page38.shtml

The main site is 6mm.wargaming.info

Next up is the first in a series of simple terrain making tutorials aimed at 6mm gamers. I also updated my future plans for the site.

Cheers
Kieran

Go easy on the palm trees. Vietnam isn't wall to wall palm trees, the way Hollywood would have you believe it is.

Nice work.

An excellent game of DS2! Artillery really livens the game up, as you found, and it prevents the larger kit ruling the game if applied well. Sounds like I may have to time my trips north better and bring a brigade or two of armour for a game! :)

Thanks guys

Yep, artillery does even up a game of DS2. Both me and Richard would play it again.

Cheers

That all looks very good! I'm ok with the palm trees for in and around villages, as they were frequently planted by the locals, and I also know that for some reason most people think that's how it should look. The ground does look a little sandy to me, but that too is ok, because the red dirt wasn't everywhere in Vietnam.

I too have had problems with water effects. Found that several layers of Future works pretty well, as you can even paint each differently and spottily and get a depth effect.

You sci-fi terrain is great! I love the mine and the colony! Incredible stuff!
