Hi all,

Just finished off an army of Anglo-Saxons to use with Dux Bellorum. I decided to go with 60 x 30 bases for these to get more of a massed look.

Figures are Essex with 10-12 Tabletop miniatures thrown in as well.

Pictures are here: link

Thanks for looking,

Cool, I like the shield mix. Might just have to paint up my Essex 15mm Saxons.

Real easy to do, Foxweasel – the trick is to use an ultra thin tip Gundam marker to make the patterns, then just fill 'em in :)

Note, you want this one:

Not this one:

The brush tip does not work nearly as well. In fact, I gave up on it.

Aaron

I've always found brushes easier to use than pens but might give it a try (it's bound to be better at some things wink)

Nice soldiers thumbs up!

It's very useful to use the pen to do so an outline in black (eg, to quarter the shield, or sketch a cross) and then fill in the colours normally with paint and brush. I'm not much of an artist so this way makes it easier for me to give the illusion of neatness!

Cheers,
Aaron

Very nice. I have yet to try Dux Bellorum but it's on my to do list very soon.
