Why do wargamers need painters tape, and is the dollar-store variety good enough?

I think you paint more in a week than I paint in a year.

Lovely figures again, what's your recipe for Denison smocks?

Gunner Dunbar09 Sep 2015 3:36 p.m. PST

Hi 79thPA I paint full time now, about 40hrs a week

Hi FW the Denisons are all Vallejo paints, base Khaki grey, green is a mix of military green and US dark green, and flat brown for the brown.

Gunner those are a mix of Artizan Design and Warlord aren't they?

I'm trying to work out which British Paras to buy myself. I was looking at Artizan, Crusader and Foundry I hadn't considered Warlord but it looks like they mix in well.

Really like the sniper and casualty figures.

I have painted a few warlord figures, and the Brit paras (as well as the German paras) are the nicest of theirs that I have done, no cartoony faces, I find Artizan a bit cartoony as well, I don't know what it is about 28mm WWII manufactures, but they like doing the cartoony thing, I really don't like it. Doesn't seem to be an issue in 20mm, although I do like that iArtizan injured double figure.

OK I'll have another look at Warlord. I think I'll be able to compare them all at the Derby show in a few weeks time.

Thanks for the reply
