Started a Star Wars campaign last night using the Frostgrave ruleset. With a couple of rule adjustments it worked very well.

I've documented the highlights here – link

Bonkers!

Good call though

Chris Palmer08 Sep 2015 12:18 p.m. PST

What a great idea!

cloudcaptain08 Sep 2015 12:46 p.m. PST

Good catch with the master/apprentice polarity and all.

Buff Orpington08 Sep 2015 1:06 p.m. PST

Works for me.

indierockclimber08 Sep 2015 1:15 p.m. PST

Whoa. Good idea.

Rusty Cyborg08 Sep 2015 4:27 p.m. PST

Great idea! What adjustments did you make?

Ivan DBA08 Sep 2015 5:10 p.m. PST

Cool, looks like fun!

tberry740308 Sep 2015 6:00 p.m. PST

Very clever!

I'm not sure Stormtroopers should be designated as "Marksmen" though. grin

Not familiar with Frostgrave but it looks interesting. Nice way to use the old collectible SW figures.

What adjustments did you make?

Wizards start with +5 Fight and 15 Armour.
Apprentices then start at +3 Fight and 10 Armour.

Both get +2 Fight from using a lightsaber.
Only Force users get the benefit from Critical Hits.

Jedi Powers (Spells)

Petrify 12
Time Store 14
Fast Act 8
Elemental Shield 10
Push 8
Heal 8
Leap 8
Telekinesis 8

Sith Powers (Spells)

Petrify 12
Time Store 14
Fast Act 8
Elemental Bolt 12
Push 8
Strike Dead 18
Leap 8
Telekinesis 8

Force users can cast whilst in combat. Leap can be used on self as well as line of sight.

Ranged weapons don't need an action to reload.

Previous play test is here – link

I'm not sure Stormtroopers should be designated as "Marksmen" though.

Well Obi-Wan does say "Only Imperial Stormtroopers are so precise."

The reality was that the Marksman profile had the highest armour rating for someone armed with a ranged weapon.

Well done sir! Now I want to break out my WotC minis and give this a try! It's been a few years, they can probably do with a breath of fresh air!

Hi Norrins,
Good stuff. I took your rules and enhanced them further, as discussed here:

Thanks Oiler, Codsticker.. Much appreciated.

I just added an addendum on base equipment and added Mystic Warrior given the Rogue One example, both of which I forgot to do yesterday.
