I ordered three of Brigade Models new European forts last Spring from Pico Armor along with several packs of guns.

The first is Fort Boyer located on the West coast of France between the Ile-d'Aix and Ile-d'Oleron.

Fort Louvois or Fort du Chapus, protected the Rochefort Roads from the South.

Vol, really cool forts!
I see you've used Eduard minis. The truth, they work fine.
A piece of advice. As theses figures are flat, first, I use a dense paint to give some relief to the minis.

I am also preparing with a known the forts of Cartagena de Indias. First of them will be Fort San Felipe or better known as Fort of Morro. We will put for sale in mid September.

Nice job, I like the way you've broken up the solid walls with different shades of grey.

What scale are these?

ModelJShip02 Sep 2015 10:43 a.m. PST

1/1000 or 1/1200 I think…

Nice work Vol. I love the textured paint of the forts. I would not base them so you can use them in different ways on a gaming table.
Be safe

Thank you for the report Vol. I went and bookmarked the webpage for future purchases!

Sure Kevin, you are more than welcome. Brigade also has some nice ACW forts that would work for any period from mid 18th century on. Pico Armor is the US distributor.

JPKelley,
Brigade markrts these forts as 2MM. They have buildings, villages, harbor brwak waters. The size appeaes to work well with 1/1200.

Beautiful work Vol! I was traveling and am just seeing these now. I am glad to hear you say they work well with 1/1200 models, as I was eying some of these on the website.

And very reasonably priced James.
