How does someone get honey out of those? |

Thanks :-D @ Raynman. Later Skeps had caps , a sort of "super"(Modern beekeeping = box above the brood) which was added on top of the skep and the bees stored thier honey there and made it easier to harvest without disturbing the brood parts of the hive. With the earlier ones theyéd either drive off the bees or kill them with burning sulphur, sometimes the whole skep, bees and all, would be put into a press, a practice banned in the 1800´s. |
