Oriental Fantasy month comes to an end of my blog: link Something a little different this week, as rather than figures, we have an actual building! Comments and feedback appreciated, as always. |

Nice looking building, really like the Tengu conversion too; Kroot were a wonderful set for making conversions with. |

Very nice – I have the Oshiro one. Late night I succumbed and bought some of his buildings (my equivalent of shopping channel on TV). They are very nice and the store house even has a door ! I really should have a go at some scratch built buildings … John |

Thanks to you both. Redroom – other than a box of plastic skeletons from the manufacturer of your choice, I think the Kroot are probably the most versatile plastic figures out there. John – Mine will have a door…eventually. The problem was that I'd glued the roof in place, but still wanted access to the interior and couldn't decide the best way to do this. I think i've decided on a separate door mounted on it's own base, which I can then have closed, open, fallen over, missing etc. rathe rthan just missing. The advantage of scratch-building is you're not limited to the sizes provided by the manaufacturer (my kura is substantially larger than Oshiro's) or what buildings they produce. And as you can see, you can get quite good results from a simple build and free components. And I got to eat the chocolate bunny too! |
