Good morning,

I was reading and watching the efforts of 6mm terrain builders here and thought maybe I could finally "come out" too.

I play Battletech in Poland by 30-years-old rules, so my boards are a compromise between gaming board and diorama.

I usually try to connect diorama building with some storytelling so it becomes more a "world building" than just terrain making.

Here are some samples of my work:

Nice detail on those buildings and civilians. What are some of the scenarios you have played?

Village evacuation.
Search and Rescue.
Stealing something – usually a starship.
NOE – Non Combatant Extraction (landing, securing route, holding off until safe boarding)
Assisting the revolution – taking down the palace.
Sailcar's fights in the desert.

Some of these require home rules and most does not require Mech's.

Cool scenario. I like how you as referee gave the players limited time for decisions and limited their communications. That "fog of war" is something I like to emulate in games I run.

Thank You. I had good players, I must admit. Most knew the radio routines from their jobs.

Another use of my desert bricks, this time for game that required personnel extraction and went wrong (due to failed piloting roll during landing):
