I have done a tutorial on how i used some laser cut kits to make a farm with a more 'weathered' look to them than the originals.
The tutorial can be found here- Link Thanks for looking. |

Nice work. I've been frowning over the many recent releases of laser cut terrain. On the one hand, many useful pieces at good prices. On the other, those interlocking joins just spoil the effect for me. You've shown we can just use the laser cut pieces as a underlying structure, to replace what we might cut out from foamcore or similar. Very nice results. I do still see the interlocking joins on the roof of two buildings but that's the only place, and even there your paint treatment makes them fit in. |

CeruLucifus I normally use card shingles or pantile sheet from America on the roof sections but wanted to see what these looked like after drybrushing. I feel the results are acceptable if not quite as good as the other method but it certainly saves time. If they had visible tabs on the engraved parts of the roof sections i would certainly use card to hide them. Its my pet hate with laser cut terrain. Thanks for the comments. |
