Hi everyone, I'm building some fantasy armies using mainly 1:72 plastic figures (medieval Russians for High Elves, ancient Sea Peoples for Orcs…) and wanted to buy a couple of trolls. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could use? Old Glory has a nice range of metal trolls but the postage to Australia is ~$60! Thanks all! |

Reaper Bones might offer some possibilities. Their orcs would work well for 1/72 trolls. link |

Do you get Toob toys in Oz? They have a 'Prehistoric World' set that features a couple of hulking cavemen, about 54mm. You might find some of the other toys useful in your game as big lizards, sabre-tooth cats, etc. |

The old Marx and MPC cavemen are about 40MM tall and might work well as 20mm trolls. |

I found an inexpensive playset at Toys R Us that had some fantasy figures and scenery in it. I used the orcs for trolls and a barbarian warrior for a mountain giant with my 1/72 armies and they seemed to work well. Walmart had some cheap cavemen v army men sets and the cavemen are now hill giants with the same armies. |

Thank you everyone for the prompt suggestions; I've given some Reaper Bones models a try, hopefully they arrive in a few weeks. If that doesn't work, cave men should work well! |

For my 15mm DBM Mordor army I used 25mm Mithril Orcs and thought they fit in really well. These can hazily be seen in the background of this pic. link |
