Hi all,

We are going to start, in the not too distant future, a campaign covering the 1st two months of the Franco-Prussian War. As part of preparing for this mammoth undertaking I wrote up an AAR for a battle we had fought a bit ago. Please take a look and any constructive criticism would be appreciated!

Nice pics. Nicer maps. Even nicer figures and terrain!
Keep it up.

Great looking game!! What scale are your figures and how many bases did you use to make up your battalions-Divisions and so on? What size are your bases?

Lascaris23 Aug 2015 5:20 p.m. PST

Thank you for your kind comments.
The figures are Old Glory 15's. The base size is 1.0"x0.75". There are 3 figures / base for line infantry and 4 figures per base for chasseurs or jaegers.
Each stand is a battalion. There are 3 stands per regiment, and 2 regiments, so 6 stands, per brigade. Two brigades make a division. For the French, there is a chasseur stand per division, for the Prussians it's a jaeger per corps. A Prussian/Bavarian corps is 2 divisions, a French is 3 or 4.

I really liked this blog and the battle described. It is a great inspiration.

I shall certainly add the link to my favourites and follow the course of your campaign.

Regards
