Was the uniforms different in the Seminole War than in the Mexican War?Is there anybody that does US Army in the 1830's besides Old Glory?

Yeah, not bad.I found what I was looking for.As I'm collecting figures for Black Hawk's War and the 2nd Seminole War low and behold there was a change in uniforms between those 2 wars. Now I don't see any changes between the 2nd Seminole and Mexican so I take it you can use Americans from the Mexican range for the 2nd Seminole War ?If I'm wrong on this someone please enlighten me.

A close reading of the survey of Army uniforms indicates that the 1833 forage cap was used during the 2nd Seminole War, and the 1839 forage cap was used during the Mexican War. Most of the uniform prints I have seen demonstrate this difference. It's really up to you as to whether it is an important enough distinction to worry about. I would be more than willing to play in a convention game in either period with castings intended for the other.
