I intend painting up a German company in winter camo but whilst I've found enough information on actual uniforms, I haven't been able to find anything on equipment. Therefore I'd like some help on the following points please:
1. I've found examples of helmets apparently painted white but what about other metal equipment, eg gas mask container?
2. Would panzerfausts, schrecks and mortars have been given a white wash or just left?
Any general advice would also be appreciated.
Thanks.

I've been looking at doing some of these too and I haven't seen any whitewashed gas mask canisters or panzerfausts yet, although they could look pretty cool if they were done like that

The helmets definitely got a whitewash sometimes, a little bit of chipping effect on top of that brings it out nicely
