Classic Toy Soldiers (CTS) have released some photos of two more prototypes in their exciting new Korean War range, North Korean Infantry #3 (Item Number: CTS179D) Kneeling Firing SMG and #4 (CTS179E) Officer With Pistol.

This new venture into a completely new period for 1:32 scale (54mm) plastic is looking good, filling a niche which has long been sadly neglected. The first set in the series is already out CTS Korean War set #1 Chinese, 16 figures in 8 poses in, Item Number: CTS178A is available from CTS and in the UK from Weston Toy Soldiers.

I am looking forward to some 1950s North Koreans. They would make good generic bad guys for Cold War/Modern gaming. Hope they end up getting produced.

Me too, but as always it depends on sales of the first set.

The Korean War really is forgotten as far as wargamers goes as far as I can see, so a 54mm range for easy-entry into the period through small skirmish games would seem a good way to go…
