I know it's not medieval but I'm working on a 6mm solo 1944 campaign where D-Day failed and the Germans invade southern England soon after. So far I have 95% of the Germans and about 80% of the British painted. I have a reproduction of a 1921 OS map of my local area (Kent) and I am working on that.Campaign rules are an adaptation of my my own 1993 vintage modern campaign and the tactical rules are going to be either WRG or Irregular, haven't quite decided yet. Currently making buildings and other terrain pieces as well as finishing off the British. |

You might like Edward III's campaigns in Scotland.in the 1330s and 1340s…lots of mrn-at-arms and mostly not an infantryman to be seen, so the actions tended to be small, mobile and very intense. |

ANY hundred years war campaign is over after one battle. ;) So perfect for solo play. Just set up the armies after contact, play the battle to its logical conclusion, usually English victory, and then start another one…. |

OTH major battles were relatively rare. 60 years of 2 wars of independence generated just a handful of major actions - Stirling Bridge, Falkirk, Bannockburn, Myton, Dupplin, Culblean, Halidon and Neville's Cross…with honours evenly divided as it happens. |

Yes. Field battles do not win or lose wars, only temporary campaigns…. |
