After putting together a few Perry plastic British infantry, it has occurred to me it might be easier to paint the front of the torso (the coat, lace & belts) before attaching the arms. Has anyone tried this? I love the figures, but I find the traditional march attack pose much easier to paint. |

I did it that way with Victrix plastics, really a matter of taste as to how you wield the brush on the small stuff. |

I usually paint the figures while still attached to the sprue, which works really well for me, leaving enough paint free area for gluing, also any minor "repairs/touch up" should you be heavy handed cutting the items from the sprue to assemble. |

I also paint both victrix and perry on the sprue. Remove all the items, assemble and then touch up where required. Main benefit was the white crossbelts and lace was easily got at along with the white piping around the collar. |
