Nice looking brigade – would be a good match for a late French division

Beautifully done!

Are the West Prussian Musketeers Perry plastic Prussians?

Hasekura18 Aug 2015 11:04 a.m. PST

Yes Big Red. Those are Perry plastics

thx everyone for your comments!

Hasekura,

How did you like working with the plastic figures? They look to be well compatible with their metal figs.

The reason I ask is that if they work well with the Perry metals, I'm hoping to use the Perry plastics for a substantial part of a Prussian army.

Thanks,

Bill.

Big Red,

I am glad you ask because I am painting a battalion of Perry Silesian Fusiliers which are a mix of plastic and metal figures. Actually the figures are plastic with metal backpacks and metal command.

When you paint them you will see that the metal figures have more crisp details but once you base them and place them next to the plastic figures there are -almost- no differences.

I hope this helps :)

You mentioned that you are going to use Perry for the main part of your army. Where will you get the rest of it from? Calpe?

Thanks Hasekura,

That's what I was hoping for.

"You mentioned that you are going to use Perry for the main part of your army. Where will you get the rest of it from? Calpe?"

Being a bear of little imagination, I was hoping to use Perry Metals to flesh out their plastics. Thanks to you, that plan has become solid.

Thanks,

Bill.
