…Bromance, Black Panther at D23.

"Anyone who saw this summer's Ant-Man knows there's a tie between Scott Lang's story and the upcoming Captain America: Civil War. Now we have a hint of just how that connection will manifest itself in Cap's next film: a man crush.

At the very end of an amazing Civil War sizzle reel shown during the Marvel Studios presentation at the D23 Expo, the audience was given a glimpse of the charming first meeting between Lang (Paul Rudd) and Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) during which Lang pretty much fanboys out on the First Avenger. "Captain America, it's an honor," Lang says nervously. "I'm shaking your hand too long." He then rambles on about how there are a lot of heroes Cap could reach out to and he's really happy to have gotten the call.

"Thinks for thanking of me," he stumbles. "Thanks for thinking of me."

Like we said, charming. Since Steve so often ends up being picked on by his fellow Avengers—well, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.)—for being a goody-goody, it's kind of nice to see some actual reverence. And if a bromance (or romance?) comes of it, then that's all the better. We knew Ant-Man would make an appearance in Civil War, but knowing that he's going to be there and be able to go Full Weirdo is very encouraging…"
