Random question, what the best glue to use for MDF buildings?

I use Aleene's Tacky Glue (brown bottle). Not much water in it, nice to work with, and easy to get. Works great on card and paper too.

I am using Franklin Hide Glue on some Warsenal MDF buildings. It is a furniture glue and seems to work very well. According to the label it is unaffected by lacquers, varnishes and sealers. It seemed impervious to Floquil enamel paint, which I used to seal the piece. (Floquil can etch or even dissolve styrene plastic.)

I use Elmer's White Glue.

Very interested in that 'tacky glue ' with little water content.
Recently bought lots of MDF movement trays and they all warped after I applied white glue and Polyfilla.

That's why I said "woodworking" PVA. Not all "white glues" are the same. The ordinary "school" white glue has quite a high water content and thus could cause warping as you suggest. In contrast the PVA white glue designed for woodworking (I use Evo-Stik in the UK) has a much lower water content and will not cause warping.

Too much water in your Polyfilla could also have caused you problems.

did you apply the white glue to both sides?

This stops a lot of warping

Thanks for the suggestions. I have had problems with warping on large mdf bases using White pva, but now I buy 3mm thickness for large impetus bases and that seems a lot more sturdy.
