Very nice!

Nice thing about fighting the Romans is you don't have to feel bad if you lose.

I'm sure Jugurtha will strike again!

Paul, nice report and figures!!!!!!!!! They look like Crusader? Mike Adams

Caliban12 Aug 2015 8:39 a.m. PST

Thanks for looking, everyone.

Well spotted Mike, I didn't have enough Companion Miniatures for the whole army, so I added in a load of Crusader. They fit well in terms of size.

Paul, I also have a lot in my armies!!!!!! Mike Adams

Looks a terrific game! Where did you get the elephants from?

Caliban12 Aug 2015 10:38 a.m. PST

Hi JJ, I think it was the fringe package! The elephants are actually by Companion Miniatures, and are very rare indeed. Resin bodies with metal bits and pieces and riders. I only managed to source seven of them, but I grabbed them all when I could.

Great looking game – thanks Paul. Numidians came up very well. Nice to see the Romans did not have it all their own way!

That's great looking game withe al of those lovely looking figures.

Caliban13 Aug 2015 2:36 a.m. PST

Thanks for looking, everyone. Despite painting loads of Romans, my real love is for armies that we don't see very often in full tabletop strength – hence the Numidians, and the Spanish I painted before that. I'd really love to have Galatians, Thracians and Illyrians too. Funnily enough, these guys all lasted longer against the likes of Rome than the headline-grabbing Macedonians and Carhaginians. Plus they can always be used as mercenaries too.

Paul, I also like those odd armies. I have Spainsh,Numidian and Latin Allies.Plus the Carthaginians,Successors,Phyrus,Persians,Gauls,Repulican,Early and Late and finally Hoplites!!!!! Mike Adams

Caliban13 Aug 2015 4:34 a.m. PST

Hi Mike, I'm catching up, then!

LEGION 195013 Aug 2015 4:37 a.m. PST

Paul, slowly. Since I cannot get Companion figures, I will be buying some Victrix Spainsh next year when I catch up on the medical bills!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mike Adams

Emperorbaz13 Aug 2015 10:35 a.m. PST

Mike. I bumped into Glenn at the Devizes show, he still plans to cast up Companion figs from time to time. Don't despair!

Emperorbaz13 Aug 2015 10:37 a.m. PST

Paul, like you these armies interest me, but I decided that I would build Numidian, Gallic, spanish mini armies so that each can be used in several different armies. Sort of versatile.
