After a couple of games I've written a review of Frostgrave based upon my thoughts of the rules and early impressions of the game. Overall I think Frostgrave will be an enjoyable experience for most gamers and a great modeling/painting opportunity if you want to collect a small warband of individual figures that you can't fit into larger sized games. There are a couple of issues though touched upon in my review – such as potential balance problems down the line in a campaign setting and the layout of some rules could have been more focused into a single chapter. Check out the full review over at my blog: link

There is a child forum on the Lead Adventure Forum for Frostgrave. You can find an alternative campaign system there. |

Got the rulebook in the mail this last weekend. Still reading it right now. |

As I did not have any prior information on Frostgrave, your review provided a lot of detail. Thanks you for taking the time to write it up in a fair and concise manner. Regards, Hitman |

But my worries are mainly that there is no balancing mechanism for warbands of different strength/level. This could mean that a very successful warband get hard to beat if you are down on your luck. This has not been my experience. I ran playtests for my group and after they had three adventures, I joined in and held my own. |

Very good review Anatoli, informative and well balanced. A few of my friends have started playing this game and I might give it a go based on your article. Skip LIT |

Glad you guys found the review informative. The game may become popular at my club as many players already have tons of fantasy models and the threshold to start playing is not that steep with the low number of models and rules that are easy to learn. I myself was not overly excited, but after a couple of games, I have to say that I really like the magic aspect of the rules, and that alone makes me want to keep playing. |

I have only one big gripe on the book. The Spells should have been listed by Spellcaster type. I.E. an Enchanter's listed all together etc… They are listed from A-Z and everyone spells are all over the place. Going to have to create a listing by Caster. |

Or turn to the back of the book and find the "Spell Cards" section where they are listed by caster?? |
