Did these guns have exclusively artillery crew or were they crewed by willing infantrymen or some sort of combination (as the French were). |

I seem to recall that at some point the sappers of each infantry regiment we assigned to the battalion guns in action. Must have made a cool-looking gun team with men in metal mitre caps, with aprons, and axes slung across their backs, serving the guns! GdeP |
