The Venice of the north, or south, or wherever it is. An old map I found that I drew yonks ago – like fifteen or twenty years ago. Was the location of many of the adventures I ran in several games. I am going to redo it – I think I can do a much better job now.

Gorgeous city and map! I've been running my campaign in a particular city map for a number of years. I have numerous city maps, some with more details, some with less. What I discovered is that the players tend to not move around enough to make it worth my time and effort to really develop any other city… I've even thought about making a bas-relief map of the major city, using pins to represent the PC's as they move through it. I saw someone on DM Scotty's Forum do this, to great effect. Not sure, though, as they might get bogged down in the map movement, instead of all of us just fast-forwarding through the city, to get to the important stuff.

Anyway, that city map looks fantastic, to me. I love the way the city is compartmentalized, into different islands. It looks as though priests of the sea gods would have opportunities to ply their special powers, and sea magic, on a more routine basis. Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!

Once ruled by an Autarch, the city is basically a republic. The city is governed by a council of Wardens. There is one Warden for each of the named districts. Additionally there are powerful guilds who also have seats on the ruling council.
