Trees from Oregano

Pat Ripley Fezian is after something that has presence, that actually looks like a small stand of tropical bushes, and is cheap, tough and portable.

Immediate reaction was great painting of crude flat figures.

But the beards suggested 50 years after Gen Buonaparte!

Sure enough, these do prove to be Second Empire Figures!

Great skill tho'

Thanks. I painted them. ;-)

And please bear in mind they are tiny figures, relatively speaking. Nominally 28mm but a lot smaller than a 28mm wargames figure. Thus the paint jobs probably don't hold up under such close magnification.

Regards,
Steve

They hold up superbly under magnification and the before and after comparison shows them transformed.

I can imagine that, if they had come withe even a trace of the original finish, you might not have reworked them. But these are great now!

Hi

'Thanks. I painted them.'

What a wonderful blog you have – some really inspiring subject matter and your painting does the figures a good service!
