I bought Dave Manley's Lord of the Sea rules and now have to get some cogs. BTW tried them solo with some proxy ships last night. I like them and recommend them to anyone looking for a different period of naval warfare. Does anyone have a picture of the cogs NAVWAR makes? If not can you give me an opinion as to whether they are enough different from the ones Outpost makes to buy them as additional variety for the game. |

I thought I'd put a picture in the rules :)

You're pics of the Outpost vessels was helpful- the ones on the manufacturer's site are neither big enough, nor positioned well enough so that you can really tell much about them. A bit off topic, but I wanted to say I'm very glad you thought to include an image of the Mighty Empires cogs. I've always thought they were neat little models, and at one time got some Bretonian Man-O-War ships- The only fleet I didn't already have- just to use them! |

Thanks David, I missed them when setting up Lord of the Sea. How large are the Navwar cogs in comparison to those from Outpost? I am leaning toward Outpost but some ships of a different size would be nice. |

They are quite a bit smaller. My fleets are mainly the Outpost ships and the MA plastics, with a dozen of the RPE cogs as well. I only have a few of the Navwar ones but will probably get a few more soon. |
