Druling over the victrix page. I see they got a deal for 4 boxes of romans and 2 12 figure cav units in metal from aventine. The deal puts the price pr figure at £0.58 GBP

Thats a good deal concdering that include 24 metal cav.

Great deal…just too late for me. I've now painted over 400 Republican Romans and about 4X15 cavarly. I mean to paint up two more triarii units to add more for a Camillan army, but I gotta move on – got to have someone to fight!

You have me thinking. Why are they so Roman focused??

Must ask the lads at Victrix if I can get the same deal for say Hoplites and Aventine Greek cavalry or, even better, forthcoming Macedonian Phalangites and Greek or Successor cavalry?

Maybe Aventine could be persuaded to issue Spanish or other Carthaginian cavalry as the new plastic Victrix sets are released?

I hope so. My guess is that classical greeks didn't use much cav.

But yes, the phalangites should definitely have some aventine cav support.

Some of the greek cav might be used as carthagenian?

Quite so – the Italian/Tarentine Command are armoured so could be used as Carthaginians.
