I always got my Langton 1/1200thscale from Brookhurst but it looks as though they might be dropping the line. As far as I can tell I have two options, Waterloo Minis or Direct from Langton, so my hearties I have a couple of questions. 1) Waterloo used to have something on their site saying that this was very much a part time job and things would be shipped pretty much when they were shipped. Is this still the case? 2) If I order direct from Langton what's it like for us Yanks, time-wise and shipping-wise? |

Can't say directly about either one, but my inclination given the above would be to order direct, since the odds are probably more favorable for them to have what you want, and for you to receive it in a more timely manner, I suspect. I tried to order some Langton vessels a few years back, from Brookhurst, but they were out of stock, apparently off to the convention scene, sadly. |

In the UK that statement has quite specific connotations, though I feel your pain. Go direct. I'm not sure about the cost (P&P) but things seem to take a week to ten days to cross the pond. If you are putting in big orders, email first – you might get a discount; it is always worth asking, especially if you ask "I'll give you 'this much' money, how much extra goods can I have?" It's a good way of getting around pre-set internet sales systems because the supplier can just put more in your 'bag'. |

I'll second going direct to Langton. Rod is a nice chap and a pleasure to deal with. I'm sure he'll provide a good service. Barrie TimeCast |

This is Rob Eubanks, and I used to have Waterloo Minis. I had to pass the baton to Jeff, who is now your primary source…and a reliable one!…for Langton here in the US. Please check out his website, which is still called Waterloo Minis. His prices are good, and you don't have the postage to deal with. |

I've ordered from Waterloo Minis when Rob was in charge and also with Jeff running the show. I've been very happy with customer service, order fulfillment and no postage costs. |

This is Jeff from Waterloo Minis. Feel free to ask any questions via the website – I don't get to TMP as often as I'd like. Thanks Rob, as always, for the good word! EDIT: Carol and Rod ARE great to deal with, and will answer any questions you would have as well. The one wild card ordering from any of us is the Royal Mail. If you need 4 36-gun French frigates and I have 3, I'm going to have get the fourth one from them anyway. What I will do in that case (with the customer's permission) is ship the 3 so you can get started on your project, and ship the fourth at my cost when I get it. That being said, the RM wild card can pop up. Sometimes I get them within 2 weeks, sometimes its more. The best I can say is plan ahead and ask if you have any questions – both of myself and Rod! |
