For years I've been looking for a set of generic, narrative-based fantasy rules, a set that didn't rely on the polite fiction of points values that turned every game into an exercise in 'how many elephants can you fit into a sandwich bag?' Imagine my surprise when I actually FOUND said rules, and they were produced by the company that (if you believe the the people that haunt internet forums) is the Great Satan. Are AoS usable as a set of rules compatible for your own setting? Darn right they are! All it takes is the patience to write up your own warscrolls and a healthy dose of DBS (i.e. Dont Be Stupid) As a proof of concept, I present exhibits A and B, two warscrolls written up for my own fantasy world, The Tiny Kingdoms: link link |

True, though I assume with patience and DBS you can use any ruleset (well, most) for your homebrew environment. Nice "warscrolls". I wish you tons of enjoyable games! |

Looks good! Though be advised individuals don't make battleshock tests, so Sir Bridgeman's ability is useless. |

I'm honestly not worried about it. These were more an excercise in 'get the idea out of my head and on paper' than anything else. And trust me, A few other TK characters have 'abilities' that are worse than useless… |

So the whole Warhammer stat line is gone in AoS? no More BS or LD? |

These look very good. One question: Why are Wounds listed before the Save value? |

I like what you have done with the warscrolls aswell . They have an early 90's white dwarf scenario look and fell. Will they be used against skaven , beastmen type groups or other human bandits, raiders? Just noticed , loads of posts and no hatred in here yet ? Oops , may have jinxed it. Sorry. Keep calm and carry on gaming GW. |

Feet Up: The Tiny Kingdoms as a game world is in a genre I like to call 'storybook fantasy', a world of Wool tunics with crests on them and England-by-way-of-Burbank accents where the Good guys are Good with a capital G, and the Bad Guys are bad with a capital B. None of this 'shades of grey' nonsense. That being given, most of the conflict in the Tiny Kingdoms will be the aforementioned Tiny Kingdoms squabbling with each other, with the odd Bandit King, pack of goblins from the mountains, or Evil Wizard to spice things up…Of course, there's always that mysterious Tomb of the Forgotten King in the Haunted Forest, or the forbidding cave where legend says that the dragon makes it's lair… |

Ooh. Cool like episodes of Merlin and perhaps a bit of Robin Hood? |

Feet up: Pretty much, as well as a healthy dose of a 1962 movie called 'The Magic Sword', which you can see here: YouTube link |
