Hopefully they have been withdrawn only to be replaced by newer sculpts?

One can hope.

Scroll down below the cacti on the Home page, and it says: "US Sailors have been withdrawn from production for re-sculpting."
pulpfigures.com/home

Yangzee Gangs and Lost Tribes have also been "temporarily withdrawn from production," though it doesn't say why.

A couple other sets have been replaced in the past few years, but nothing was said until the new set was ready to go, then the old set went away, so there was not temporary period of non-availability. Perhaps this is portentous.

I was looking at mine today. Very sweet sculpts! I am hoping for a few new sculpts for deck gun crews are in the works. Would also love a signalman with flags, a swabby with a swab, and a snipe with a spanner, and some Chinese enginemen, and a cook we with a Philippino mess steward.

Actually if you look more closely at the Yangzee Gangs and Lost Tribes listings, Bob says he is resculpting some sets and reorganizing others. More details to follow eventually I suppose.

Direct from Bob's home page:

The PYG Yangzee Gangs and PLT Lost Tribes are temporarily withdrawn from production. Dr Koo, Dr. Koo's Palanquin, Kojar and the Killer Apes can still be found in the PHP range. As well, the US Sailors have been withdrawn from production for re-sculpting.

If you are lucky enough to have the old ones, when the resculpts are issued you will have even more variety.

He has done this before with the rugged heros, for example.

This is a major undertaking. These were the first Pulp Figures I acquired and have had many fun games with them, around the world -- Back of Beyond, Skull Island, Mexico. They were state of the art when released, and still are some of the best available. I am afraid to see the new ones as I have all I can use and afford so will look with envy the the superb new ones :)

Glad that Bob has time available to do these over. There are still quite a few new ranges needing figures -- The Wild Bunch :)

Saw Bob at Enfilade and he sure made it sound like they would return at some point.

I also talked to Bob about this at Enfilade in May. He said the molds were shot. He's planning to redo those packs. Likely there will be some new sculpts too. Looking forward to that.

I have indeed withdrawn the sets in question primarily because the moulds are done. I'm also no longer content with the quality of some of the sculpts so they are being re-done.

I don't have a time table for when the ranges will be available again as I'm pretty busy and need to get through some current project. My apologies in the mean time.
