Will we ever see in progidction the 15mm miniatures Ral Partha made for the AD&D Battlesystem? They were fantastic figures, and I missed them first time around. I just looked at them on the pegs, being a 28mm and 10mm man back then. (A assume there would be some legal entanglements with Hasbro/WotC over ownership?) |

I doubt it. If I remember right, Ral Partha had to destroy the molds when they lost the AD&D license. |

I suspect we shall have to settle for new sculpts? |

They had a non-D&D range that even included an ironclad land ship. |

Definitely not the AD&D 15mms. As Landorl says, the molds were all destroyed, most of the masters were destroyed (I've read that some were kept by sculptors and staff), and all of the remaining stock was melted down after a specified length of time. All there is, is what's already out there. With a new license, new sculpts in the same style could be produced, but I don't see that happening, as the current D&D style is very different from what it was when RP had the license. |

The non-D&D range was originally produced by Rank & File Miniatures. I don't think the fantasy miniatures have been produced in more than a decade. |

It is a great shame I have quite a few Orc and a bunch of the knights on griffons, just lovely! |

I have two unopened packs from Ral Partha if anyone is interested. Each pack had a printer label attached and removed. other than that they are both in good shape. can send pics but no idea how much to sell them for? AD&D Darkhold Mounted Minions. I had a 10 year quest to obtain some of the Drow Elf lizard riders which was fulfilled several years ago at the Cold Wars flea market. Great sculpts yes,and would love to see them again, but there are some equaly lovely figures available,Splintered Light being one. |

Those are the ones. A few years (5?) back Iron Wind had a bunch of original castings for sale by the piece at one of the conventions. They had every code. |

Nooooo! Say it isn't so! Miracles can still happen, but we might be in a nursing home when they come back. |

+1 to Skinkmasterreturns, Splintered Light Miniatures' 15mm fantasy range has a lot of old school feel to them, down to pig-faced orcs due out soon. |
