Well, they were declassified in 1972 but the Naval War College just posted many of the US Navy's messages/operational plans/orders from the initial invasion of Guadalcanal in August 1942. No new news here but interesting to read, especially the confusing reports following the Japanese night surface attack that sank four CAs.
