For no other reason than that I have 9 dismounted Continental dragoons, I ordered some from Fife and Drum with similar heads. They are 3rd LD, with leather cap, turban and horsehair crest.
They look like Pulaski's Legion. Except that they do not have that star or plate on the front.
I was looking at sequins at Hobby Lobby yesterday but they were all too large. Plus I would have to get tons of sequins. grin

Any recommendations?

I guess it would help if you told us the size of the star plate you want to replicate? Would 3/16" be too big?: link

Something like this on a 1/56 (close to 28mm) figure:

Aww, common… Use the sequins. That way they'd be fabulous…

Winston, paint is your friend. It's fairly easy to paint a gold star on the front of the helmet.

Not when a blind stinky dog noses into your nether bits at the painting table…

It's been known to happen.

Is her younger partner calming down, Winston?

Quite a bit. We don't have to worry about dropping dice on the floor anymore.
Heck, I offered to return the D6 the next game after I collected it from the yard. Can't imagine why he declined.

I bought an 88 cent tube of sequins that look the right size last night at Walmart.
What am I going to do with the other 100,000?
