Any other info on it?

Oh wow looks like it has the old style missile launcher from the original RT plastic set of beaky Space Marines. Updated of course but how cool is that for those of us who like the retro look. thumbs up

I for one am looking forward to this. Rumor has it there was to be a plastic contemptor dreadnought as well.

Ya know…..
It kind of looks like GW is shaking things up. Instead if issuing new editions of the same old warhorse where they just change wound stats, they are shaking things up with new games. Nothing is preventing anyone from playing the old games , and no one is forcing anyone to play the new.
Ideally, all figures they ever made would come back into production. For instance, I liked the 5th ed WFB knights and Lizardmen. I liked smaller orcs.
Whatever. I am not the target audience.
If you are enjoying yourself, it's good.

Where's Mithhmee? I need him to "convince" me what a rip-off these are going to be!😊

Oh hell yes. Planning my legion already. And I love the retro missile launcher and flamer. Cannot wait for this to come out.

Now all they need to do is release the exact same sprue layout with mk 6 parts and I'll do a happy dance like you've never seen.

Well you going to have to wait until I can actually see them.

At work right now and all I get when I open the link up is alot of dark gray/black.

But don't you worry I will response.

Everytime I bitch about GW, I hear that "well, I am not their target audience".

Like I am somebody's grandmother knitting in my rocking chair. Oddly, after years of sporadic eBaying, I still have twenty big Chessex storage boxes, and better sixty Plano-style boxes, full of GW minis. So it looks like I was in the crosshairs at one time. I didn't give up on them, they gave up on me.

This stuff has the fundamental, un-gimmicky look of the really old stuff. Hell, the grunt marine sprues look like larger versions of the ones from the original plastic marines box. I can see me maybe into this. But the base set is always a good deal. The closest GW will ever come to a "loss leader".
