Quick question for anyone who may know….are the new G.Beast plastic Arab cavalry- both light and heavy, compatable with Perry miniatures figures, in articular their Crusade range Sejuks?

Any thoughts, observations or problems.

Cheers.

I have both. Wouldn't mix within a unit but fine in the same army.

Thanks you. What I wannted to hear.

Disagree completely.

I have both as well, and they do not match. Promptly bought some Perry Turcoman packs and will offload the GB plastics.

cheers

Will try to post pictures. I use consistent basing and on the table they mix just fine.

I use consistent basing as well, and in my view they don't mix.

The GB figures are bigger in every way – arms are longer, horses are taller etc. Biggest difference is in the width of the horses looking from above. A Perry horse is about 10mm thick, the GB one 14-15mm.

What makes it worse for me is that I wanted to add some more light cavalry, and the GB light cavalry look like they are riding Draught horses and my Perry Heavy Cavalry ponies.

Don't get me wrong, they are very nice figures and if I were starting a Saracen army anew, I would buy multiple boxes. But I won't mix them with my already reasonably sized Perry army. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you, fill you boots.

cheers

Perrys are a tiny bit smaller than the GB plastics, which are a fair bit smaller that the GB metals.

I think they all look great and I am happy to have them all in my Army. The plastics are really nice to paint by the way.
