For those interested wargamers who do not know already, some excellent 25/28mm buildings suitable for the Indian Mutiny from The Colonial Steamboat Company link
These should nicely compliment the new 28mm range from Iron Duke Miniatures and the currently more comprehensive range from Muniteer Miniatures. |

Wow! Really nice. And the quoted prices for the handmade models, which are supplied assembled & painted, seem pretty reasonable to me, especially considering the quality & variety. |

I contacted the Steamboat Company about ordering a few of their buildings. A week later I got an email back stating that I would get an estimate in a few days. After 3 weeks I sent another email and have yet to get a reply. I hear this company is hit or miss on communication. |

I see they have done a homage to the Airfix Foreign Legion fort!! |

Oh my. I'm afraid to look at the price, but I really want them. Most of the 28mm structures I have seen suitable for these purposes in recent years have been dear in price but appropriately beautiful. Oh well, priorities must win out, there goes next year's trip to Hants! Have to dig out my Ian Weekly folder and books for some scratch building ideas. I hear this company is hit or miss on communication. Perhaps when they realize the market potential with the advent of Iron Duke Miniatures… |

I recently put together Renedra's Adobe building which is very good though it did need a bit of filler. I used Milliput but thinking again I would have used Greenstuff as adding water to the tool did the Milliput actually made some pieces come away. Still, it sort of added to the shabby look of the building. I haven't got any shots of it painted yet (more on that on another thread but here's a shot of the finished building:
