Could I get away with one of these in Spanish Republican colors? I say this as the Potez appears to be a common plane in the Republic air force, I am just having issues with locating this variant – I am rather ok with squinting as i love the plane – its just nice to know if I am close historically. |

Not as far as I know – the Jupiter engined one was mainly Polish, and while a few other countries had it, apparently including Portugal, I cam't find any indication of SCW use by either side. Most SCW ones seem to have been TOE types (with a liquid cooled W12 engine, not a radial like the Jupiter) which presents rather a problem unfortunately. With that said, rummaging around does find a few profiles (although not photos that I can find, so treat with caution….) of Republican Potez 25s with exposed radial engines (eg.
) so that gives you something to justify it at least…. ;-) If a Jupiter engined model's all you've got, I'd probably live with it, but if it's possible to leave the engine cowling off (I don't know if you're talking about a kit or a small scale model) then I probably would. |
