Results of the 2015 Historicon DBA 3.0 Tournaments
Here are the players, armies and results of the 25mm DBA 3.0 tournament:
1. Thomas J. Thomas Medieval French 65 (not eligible for prize)
2. Thomas E. Thomas Burgundian Ordinance 50 (not eligible for prize)
3. Paul Westermeyer Early Imperial Romans 46 Won English HYW Army on tie break
4. Richard J. Campbell Polybian Roman 46
5. Colin Brady HYW English 27
6. Charlie Zee Medieval German 26
7. Paul Vogel Muslim Conquest 23
8. David McClellan Later Cartheginian 2

Prizes contributed by Architects of War and Thomas J. Thomas.

It was great to see 25mm once more on the tournament schedule and though I brought eight loaner armies I only had to hand out two. The tournament featured a wide variety of troop types including war wagons, long bows, mounted archers, artillery and knight wedges. I could not have asked for a nicer or more enthusiastic group of players.

Here are the players, armies and results of the 15mm DBA 3.0 tournament:
1. Charlie Zee Wars of the Roses 46 Won 15mm DBA Thracian Army
2. Stephen Barer Medieval German 45
3. Colin Brady Middle Imperial Roman 27
4. Thomas E. Thomas Medieval French 26

Prizes contributed by Thomas J. Thomas.

Here I must apologize for the late announcement of this tournament and the various event conflicts. Despite my organization problems this proved one of the closes fought high spirited set of games I've ever had the pleasure to watch (sadly we had an odd number turn up so I sat out). A great group of players who took their victories in stride and defeats with grace recognizing them for the imposters they are.

Here are the results of the Game of Ice and Fire High King Big Battle Campaign:
1. David Sciulli Lannisters Sits the Iron Thorne
There were other would be claimants:
Blake Plarchak Starks
Thomas E. Thomas Martels
Edward O'Conner Ally
James Fearon Greyjoys
Stephen Barer Baratheons
And two more who played but didn't sign up so I didn't get their names – it matters not as there is no second place in the Game of Thrones: you win or you die.

Prizes provided by Old Glory Miniatures and Thomas J. Thomas.

Let me first express my appreciation for all those who took a chance on an alternative tournament/Big Battle format using the High King system – first pioneered by the Nashville HOTT group. I'm still tweaking some aspects of the High King system but we managed to get in three rounds and have a clear winner. I apologize to all those that wanted to play but I had to turn away. I managed to get eight players into a game designed for six and still could not accommodate all those who wanted to play (including my wife).

Next year I will bring eight starter armies rather than six. Anyone who brings their own Ice and Fire army will automatically get in the game. I've published lists and figure recommendations which lay out in detail how to create an army for Ice and Fire.

Please support our sponsors. Look forward to seeing everyone next year.

Thanks for bearing the 3.0 torch at Historicon! I was despairing of being able to play any DBA at the con.
