Does anyone have suggestions for stands to use with ADB metal Star Trek minis (2400 series)? I've been having trouble with the supplied plastic stands tipping over (even when the minis are balanced well) and outright snapping. Thanks!

I can't remember if ADB's stands have flat bases or the more domed shaped ones, but Brigade Models UK sells weights that glue inside the domed bases to counter-balance their top-heaviness. If ADB's bases won't work for that, you could get Brigade's plus the counterweights.

You may also be able to find a DIY way to counterweight the stands.

Can't help with the breakage, had that happen with one of my ADB metal ships too, it ended up getting a magnet.

I have seen somewhere on the net some pics of someone who used screw jewellery clasps to avoid the breakage. One end is glued to the model, and the other to the stand and the model is just screwed onto then stand. They can then be removed for storage etc.
Eureka minis make some metal posts that fit with some of the
plastic bases.
While I too have had some of the plastic stands snap, I just get the stands with the wider flat circular base.
Litko and others make a variety of plastic flight stands that are more stable and have options for putting dice/ counters on the base etc.

The barrel clasp thing works well, but I moved on to neodymium magnets. Drill into the underside of the mini to recess the magnet (not entirely necessary, but I like it flush), and glue another to the post. Just mind the polarity while assembling!

Thanks, guys. I think I may check out Litko's offerings.

outright snapping

Just wanted to ask if others have my experience that the acrylic in the posts do NOT like cyano-acrylic? Yeah, I know they're both acrylics, but the clear posts almost always craze and crack for me.
