[/URL] Last weekend I purchased a box of Perry British Light Dragoons. Above is a picture of how they turned out. Overall, they are a good value. There are pieces to produce dragoons for a few different periods. That's a plus. On the downside, however, there are no directions. You have to try to figure out which pieces produce figures for which era. I missed the mark on this on a few of the figures. The variety is great, but some directions on which piece goes with what would have been invaluable in achieving accuracy. |

Hi, Really great! Hope that they'll do metal versions too. Cheers, Paul |

They do in the 1815 rig of course. Nice figures as at rest rather than charging hell for leather………..supplement these well |

Did that in 4-5 days? What's your secret? |

Nice job painting them. Tried plastics and for me they just don't make the grade. |

Would agree, but don't forget the conversion potential. Mix them in with metals and use some imagination. Great fun and huge satisfaction. Plastics cannot have the sharp edges and undercuts and they do "go off" with time. Moulds do wear out. If you have something totally unique that you have created yourself (from someone else's brilliant masters of course) it is great. Go back a couple of months and see what von Winterfeldt did with plastic cuirassiers and Greenstuff……… |

I've just jumped into plastics and have found both pro and con. Yep, I miss a lot of the nice folds that paint so well. Otoh, buttons are no longer irregular blobs; muskets in led are fat, wobbly things with huge bayonets--in plastic, they're clear, crisp and in scale. Belts are a lot crisper, as well. And I can paint heads separately, which is a great improvement when dealing with march attack poses. |

Winser, did your box not come with a booklet? It should have, and it explains in great detail (4 pages I think) the different uniforms through the period. |

Real men do not read the instructions. Their wives do and then act really superior………." Why didn't you read etc etc before you assembled the blooming thing and broke it?" |
